Setting up Bridge/Passthrough Mode

What is Bridge mode?

Bridge mode allows you to assign your fixed IP address to a device on your local network. The other stations of the local network receive another IP address which is dynamic.

What is Passthrough mode?

Passthrough mode allows you to assign a new public and dynamic IP address to one device on your local network. The other stations of the local network continue to use the fixed IP of your contract.

Enabling Passthrough mode

  1. Network configuration of the device with the public IP address

The device network interface (router, server, workstation, etc.) which will have the public IP address must be configured in DHCP mode.

  1. Passthrough configuration of La BOX

Using La BOX interface, go to "Réseau", then to the "Connexion directe Ethernet <-> Internet" sub-menu to enter the equipment MAC address which will carry the public IP address.
